2011PHI

By Patrick Powell 2000 Eastern Conference Finals, Game 7. The very mention of the game creates an uneasy feeling in the minds of Flyers’ fans. Flyers’ Jagr, Talbot At Forefront of Tonight’s Clash in Pittsburgh

2011PHI

Some have said the reason Pittsburgh is spelled with an "h" at the end is because it stands for "home". For Jagr and Talbot, two players who called Pittsburgh their home for so long, we shall see if that, indeed, holds true tonight.

Gaborik returns to the elite ranks as League leading scorer

2011NYR

By Alexander Monaghan President When describing Marian Gaborik, one label typically is attached to the scoring winger: injury prone. However, when on his game, he should carry the distinction [...]

Alexander Semin, the un-tradeable?

2011WAS

By Alexander Monaghan President  When the NHL roster freeze is removed, it will effectively turn the heat up from its current simmer on this year’s hot stove. Florida Forges Ahead in Important Homestand

2011FLA

After an ugly 8-0 pounding at the hands of the Boston Bruins last week, that nasty game in Beantown perhaps could be used motivation in this week's three-game homestand in front of full houses. Time for these Florida Panthers to start grabbing points however they may come and padding that cushion again.

Same Old Same Old for Cats at Home

2011FLA

By Bill Whitehead I couldn’t cover the Florida Panthers’ Sunday matinee contest against Carolina, but it didn’t really matter. I saw the same game when Calgary visited BankAtlantic Center two nights earlier. Though the Cats put together a better overall effort against the Flames, the game played out the same way. Florida led early, lost [...]

Cats Come Up Short in Bid to Bounce Back

2011FLA

By Bill Whitehead The second meeting at the BankAtlantic Center between the New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers was supposed to be a bounce-back game for the Cats — you know, that quick turnaround match where a team shows what it’s made of. Florida was looking to regroup after arguably its worst performance of the [...]
