Could Giroux, Read, and Couturier Become Flyers ‘Firsts’ This Season?
Throughout mostly 43 banner seasons, the Flyers have had some incredible honors bestowed upon them. Three that have never made their way to the City of Brotherly Love are the Art Ross, Calder, and Lady Byng awards. That could all change this season.

Read Helps Bryzgalov Top Former-Phoenix Teammates
Read scored with just 18.6 seconds remaining in regulation to give Bryzgalov a well-deserved 2-1 victory over his former team - and help his netminder serve up some just desserts to a couple of Coyote defenders who made some rather disparaging remarks earlier in the day about their former-goaltender.

Talbot Providing Flyers With Much More than Expected
When Philadelphia inked Talbot to a 5-year, $9 million contract, it seemed he got caught in the cross-fire of Pennsylvania's volatile rivalry. It took a while to warm up to him, but Flyers fans are learning just how lucky they are to have the services of hockey's 'Mad Max'.

Flyers Drafted a Gem in Couturier
Only time will tell just how good of a player the 18-year-old rookie will develop into eventually, but he's looked like anything but a youngster in the first 14 games of the season. He has thrived, notching five goals and eight points. Perhaps most impressive is he leads the team in plus / minus ratings with a +9, and has not finished a game on the minus side of the ledger all year.

Bobrovsky Remains Good Soldier; Still Own Worst Critic
Sergei Bobrovsky came through a rookie season that saw his emotions run the gamut of highs and lows, only to be replaced as the Flyers' number one goaltender. But he's been the good soldier in his new role, and his own worst critic.
