Possible Islander suspensions a hot-spot issue for Campbell

In hockey, retribution and revenge are tremendous catalysts for on-ice actions. Those actions sometimes push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable and what is not. Last night's Pittsburgh Penguins-New York Islanders game in which 346 penalty minutes were racked up is a classic example.

NHL still not serious about protecting players

The suspensions that were levied on Wednesday did nothing to make any player think twice about dangerous or reckless behaviour in the future. And it did nothing to cause anyone to worry about the ramifications of any such actions.
