Flyers drop 3-2 shootout decision to Rangers
Zherdev has showed a dogged determination - as well as adding some much-needed spark to an offensive attack that has gone stagnant - speaks volumes of how he will handle this chance moving forward. And staying in the lineup once all of the forwards are healthy. As a matter of fact the Flyers, who have gone 1-4-4 in their last nine home games, exhibited a decent amount of desperation during the entire third period - something that could not be said of the first two periods.

Flyers disturbing home play continues in Mason 43-save gem
After Tuesday's big step forward, it was hoped that they could build on that the rest of the way in the remaining regular season games. Instead, they took another couple backwards tonight.

After big win, consistency is the goal for Flyers
It seems sometimes like Philadelphia needs to have their backs up against the wall before their intensity level rises to the position necessary for them to acheive postseason success. If there was any time during the course of the season that the Flyers' hand was forced, it was Tuesday night with Pittsburgh nipping at their heels and the division crown at stake.

Flyers fight off Pens for first, set team mark for road wins
With the Pittsburgh Penguins making a late-season charge and having a chance to tie for the Atlantic Division lead, the Philadelphia Flyers needed a huge effort. And that's just what they got Tuesday night, as Philadelphia overcame two one-goal deficits to come back for a 5-2 victory at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. With the win the Flyers set a franchise record with their 25th road victory.

Flyers need top scorers to perform against top teams
When you play the big games, you need your best players to step up and be the difference-makers. Looking at Philadelphia's top five scorers and how they have performed in the 11 games against teams that are currently in a playoff position since January ended, there are some very telling numbers.

Flyers not measuring up against East elite, lose to Bruins
The Philadelphia Flyers had a pretty good week to take stock of just where they stand among the top teams in the Eastern Conference. And after Sunday night's 2-1 regulation loss to the Boston Bruins, they shouldn't like what they saw.

Flyers “outworked” by Pens, drop shootout decision
"Embarrassing." "Perplexing." Definitely not the kinds of words you want associated with your team's play, especially heading down the stretch. But unfortunately for the Flyers, these were the descriptive terms they used to define their own play Thursday night. Call it a healthy dose of self-awareness.

With their players getting healthy again, now is the time for the Flyers to re-established the fact that they are an elite team. And they have the perfect opportunity to make a rather loud declaration against two of their top rivals this week.
