Brind’Amour will hold special place in Flyers fan’s hearts
Tonight the Philadelphia Flyers take on the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, NC, and Rod Brind'Amour's jersey number 17 will be retired in a pre-game ceremony. That Hurricanes' management chose a game in which Philadelphia was the opponent to bestow the honor upon him is a testament to just how important they know the Flyers' organization was to Brind'Amour.
