Flyers 5-2 Victory Over Lightning Could be Costly Win

The Flyers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning, 5-2 tonight, but there should be a guarded enthusiasm that goes along with the victory. NHL leading scorer Claude Giroux and goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov each left the game early with injuries.

Flyers Impress in Sixty-Minute Effort, Blank Devils, 3-0

One of the biggest problems for the Flyers last year was giving a full, 60-minute effort each night. In the first two games thus far, the team has given their all in solid road victories in Boston and NJ.

Flyers Close Out Preseason with 2-1 loss; Roster Decisions Ahead

With several roster spots hanging in the balance, the Flyers dropped a 2-1 decision to the Devils last night. In finishing the preseason schedule with a 4-2-1 mark, questions still remain as to a couple of spots at forward, as well as who will be the team's seventh defenseman.
